Training and Resources
At Universitas Airlangga, we are excited to introduce a comprehensive training
resource program for SDC Initiative, aimed at empowering faculty, staff, and students with the
knowledge and tools to harness the full potential of data-driven decision-making. The SDC
Initiative recognizes the critical role that data plays in shaping our university's strategic
planning, student success initiatives, research endeavors, and operational efficiency. Through
this program, participants will gain access to a wide range of training sessions, workshops, and
resources designed to enhance their data literacy, analytical skills, and understanding of data
governance. The training program includes:
Participants will learn how to establish and utilize secure connections between various data sources, enabling
seamless data integration and fostering a holistic understanding of the university's
information landscape.
As part of the
training program, participants will receive comprehensive instruction on leveraging the
university's Data Warehouse, a centralized repository of integrated data, to access and
analyze valuable information for informed decision-making.
Through data literacy
training, you can learn how to find data, access it and use it through the system provided.
Through data
management training, you can learn procedures and standards for providing data in each unit
so that it can be integrated into a data management system at the university level.
This training
component focuses on building participants' foundational skills in data analysis, including
data cleaning, exploration, basic statistical analysis, and quantitative methodologies,
providing them with the essential toolkit to understand and interpret data effectively.
Designed for
participants who already have a solid understanding of basic data analytics, this training
delves into advanced topics such as predictive modeling, machine learning algorithms,
advanced statistical analysis, and data mining techniques, empowering participants to
leverage complex data for advanced decision-making and gain deeper insights from their
data-driven initiatives.
Participants will
learn effective techniques for presenting data in a clear, compelling, and visually
appealing manner using popular data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or other
software, enabling them to communicate insights and findings to various stakeholders with
impact and clarity.
